Hello! My name is Dana, and I am a lifelong resident of the Ozarks area. Married to my wonderful husband David of 23 years, we live in Nixa, Missouri along with my senior corgi-mix Dandee. I graduated from Drury University with a Bachelors in Fine Art and from Fort Hays State University with a Masters in Art History. I enjoy fishing, kayaking, and camping when not in my studio working. As a two-time stage III Anal Cancer Survivor and Fibromyalgia sufferer, my awareness of how difficult and fleeting life can be is heightened. Painting is therapeutic in many ways; it helps me find a world where I can leave my anxiety about what comes next behind. It has made my painting journey more immediate and essential to my life. I believe this is reflected in my quick brushwork and bright joyous colors. My wish is to bring happiness to people through my work.
